This winter has been especially long and each seedling that sprouts in the greenhouse reminds us that spring is indeed just around the corner. We are excited to see new plants as they continue to arrive on a regular basis. As we think about these plants and how to use them in our gardens, we have grouped them here based on their best use.
The first thing to consider is the type of soil that is available: wet or dry, loam or clay, compacted or loose. Sun exposure is also critical: hot sun, half sun, dappled shade, full shade. We have taken cues from nature to make the groupings below. In addition to the new plants, we have included some of our good ol’ favorites that also perform well in these situations. Full descriptions and lists can be found at the links below. We look forward to introducing these to you in person this spring!
